One day, Tom's teacher announced the spelling competition. Tom was excited but a little nervous. He studied hard every day with his best friend, Jenny. Jenny helped Tom by asking him to spell words she picked from the dictionary.
The day of the competition arrived. Tom stood on the stage, and his heart was pounding. He spelled each word slowly and clearly. Finally, he spelled the last word correctly and won the first prize! Tom was the new Spelling Star. Everyone clapped and cheered for him.
