John is a student in an English class. Every day, he likes to learn new words and speak with his friends. One day, the teacher, Mr. Brown, gives the class homework. He tells everyone to write five sentences using new words.
That night, John plays football with his friends. He has so much fun that he forgets to do his English homework. The next day, John comes to class, but he does not have his homework. Mr. Brown asks, "Where is your homework, John?"
John feels embarrassed and says, "I forgot, Mr. Brown! I will do it tonight." Mr. Brown smiles and says, "It's okay, John. Remember to do it next time!" John promises to always check his homework before playing.
