Doctor Dan loves helping his young patients understand new words. Every day, he talks to children about their health. He makes learning fun by explaining words in simple ways.
One day, a little girl named Sarah comes to see Doctor Dan. She is not feeling well. “You have a fever,” Doctor Dan tells her. “This means your body is too warm.” Sarah looks confused, so Doctor Dan takes out a red balloon. “This balloon is hot because it has lots of air, just like your body is hot with the fever!”
Later, a boy named Tom visits Doctor Dan. Tom has a broken arm. “You need a cast,” Doctor Dan explains. “A cast is like a strong shirt for your arm until it gets better.” Tom laughs and feels less worried. Doctor Dan uses toys and stories to help kids understand what is happening to their bodies.
