Tom’s First English Book

Tom is a young boy who loves adventures. One day, his teacher gave him a simple English book. The book had colorful pictures and easy words. Tom felt excited but a little nervous because it was his first English book.

At home, Tom opened the book. He saw a picture of a red apple on the first page. Below the picture, it said "apple." Tom read it slowly, "a-p-p-l-e, apple." His mother smiled and helped him sound out the words. They read about a little cat, a big dog, and a fun park.

Each day, Tom read a few pages. He learned many new words like "tree," "ball," and "sun." Reading became fun, and Tom felt proud. Soon, he finished the book and couldn't wait to start another one. Reading his first English book was the beginning of his wonderful language adventure.
