Sara is ten years old. She lives with her parents in a small town. Her parents are from Egypt and they speak Arabic at home. Sara speaks Arabic with them, but she also speaks English at school.
Every Sunday, Sara goes to the market with her mom. Her mom wants to ask questions, but she only speaks Arabic. Sara helps her mom by translating. She says, "How much is this?" in English when her mom points to the apples. The shopkeeper answers happily, and Sara tells her mom the price in Arabic.
Sara is proud to help her parents. Her teacher at school says that being able to speak two languages is a superpower. Sara agrees and smiles, knowing she can help her parents understand English better every day.
