Dr. Sam is a kind doctor who loves helping children. Every day, young patients come to his clinic. They feel nervous because they are not sure what will happen. Dr. Sam always smiles and tells them, "Don't worry, I am here to help you."
One day, a little boy named Ali visits Dr. Sam because he has a sore throat. Ali is scared. Dr. Sam asks, "Do you know what a throat is, Ali?" Ali shakes his head. Dr. Sam explains, "Your throat is the part inside your neck that helps you talk and swallow." Ali smiles, feeling less afraid now.
After Dr. Sam checks Ali, he gives him some medicine. He also teaches Ali a new word. "This is your 'medicine'. Medicine helps you feel better," says Dr. Sam. Ali repeats the word and says, "Thank you, Dr. Sam." The doctor is happy to see Ali smile, and Ali leaves with a new word and feeling better.
